Your gold is assessed by type, weight and purity in relation to the live gold spot price on the day of assessment. When you log an upload, you'll receive an estimate valuation of the fine oz to be credited to your Troygold account and, after assessment, a final confirmation for your approval.

Once you approve the assessment confirmation, your gold is converted to the equivalent ounce ownership and forms part of your Troygold account holdings.

Yes. You can request physical withdrawal of your gold in the form of 1 oz Krugerrands at any time via the app — a redemption fee of 0.5% plus a R1,725 courier fee applies. The Krugerrands are delivered door-to-door in secure packaging.

From the point of requesting an upload to account credit, typically 3–5 business days. You'll receive updates at every stage through the app.

There is a flat R500 fee per upload, which covers collection, expert assessment, handling, and custody transfer into the vault. Each upload is limited to 5oz for insurance purposes.

Yes. Full insurance cover applies from the moment your gold is collected, through assessment, and into vault custody. You are covered throughout the entire process.

You are under no obligation to accept the assessment. If you decline, your gold is returned to you at no cost. Our valuations are transparent and based solely on type, weight, purity, and the live spot price.
